There are numerous biking trails weaving over the slopes of Cerkno and its surroundings that are suitable both for recreational cyclists and experienced cyclists. Recreationists will love less demanding trails with small altitude differences, while experienced cyclists will be fascinated by more challenging routes winding through forests and along rivers and brooks. To make your journey easier, you can decide to hire a licenced cycling guide. Alone or with a guide, when you conquer the peaks of nearby hills, all your efforts will be compensated by spectacular views of the Cerkno hills.
All mountain lovers are well acquainted with an overcoming feeling of satisfaction, when conquering a peak they have set out to. In the Cerkno area, hikers can choose from a variety of marked routes, trails and paths. For a true mountain experience, you can hike to Porezen and Blegoš tops, where mountain huts also serve lunch. You can also head out to the mountain pasture Razor, which is an excellent starting point for numerous peaks. A site not to be missed and the local attraction is the Partisan hospital Franja, which used to offer a safe haven to the wounded during the World War II. You can reach it by following a well-marked path through the gorge of Pasica.

Kitchen is the heart of our tourist farm. We offer everything grown here and prepared by hard-working hands. Fresh ingredients are used all year round: delicious and succulent home-grown vegetables, fresh trout caught only few steps away from the house in Idrijca, beef from the cattle grazing on nearby pastures and goat and lamb grazing high up in the hills. We are surrounded by forests in which we pick porcini, chanterelles, chestnut, wild garlic and other forest fruits. Farms in the Cerkno area make and supply excellent cottage and other types of cheese. We cook locally grown food, offering what the environment provides in a particular season and giving it a modern twist.
